The alarming rise in Congo fever cases in Quetta has taken a devastating toll, with yet another patient falling victim to the virus in the past 24 hours. Hospital sources have confirmed that a 22-year-old resident of Pishin was admitted to the Fatima Jinnah Institute of Chest Diseases. Subsequent blood tests conclusively identified the presence of the Congo fever virus in the patient.

Tragically, the patient’s condition deteriorated rapidly, and on Monday, he succumbed to the virus. This unfortunate incident marks the fifteenth death attributed to Congo fever in Quetta this year.
