The Punjab Government has rejected rumours that Sehat Card services have been discontinued, stressing that the health scheme remains fully operational across the province.
In an offical statement, the Punjab Health Initiative Management Company (PHIMC) urged citizens not to believe “false claims” circulating on social media.
It clarified that all registered citizens can continue to receive free medical treatment at designated private hospitals across the country under the health insurance scheme.
Authorities further explained that the Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) itself now serves as the Sehat Card.

This means citizens no longer need a separate health card to access the service. Patients can simply present their CNIC at empanelled hospitals to avail of treatment.
To ensure smooth use of the scheme, PHIMC advised people to confirm that all family members are correctly registered with NADRA.
Only then can households fully benefit from the Sehat Card programme.
The authority has also set up a helpline, operational daily from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., to assist citizens facing difficulties in hospitals.
