Threads of Friendship on the Great Wall

A special fashion show took place at the Great Wall of China in October 2025. The event marked a new chapter in the deep friendship between Pakistan and China, bringing together art, tradition, and style on one of the world’s most iconic landmarks.

The show was organized by the Pakistani Embassy in Beijing and the China International Cultural Communication Centre (CICCC). Held at the historic Badaling section of the Great Wall, it turned the ancient site into a glowing runway, where culture and creativity walked hand in hand.

Top designers from both countries took part in the event. From Pakistan, famous names like Maheen Khan and Rizwan-ullah showcased their stunning creations, while from China, Liang Suyun presented elegant designs that reflected her country’s rich heritage.

The theme of the show was “Cultural Fusion.” Models wore outfits that beautifully blended Pakistani embroidery and Chinese silk, symbolizing how both nations share a love for tradition and craftsmanship. The colors, fabrics, and patterns told a story of friendship, respect, and shared dreams.

The audience included diplomats, artists, and fashion lovers from around the world. Many called it a “visual celebration of harmony,” praising how fashion was used as a bridge between two close allies.

As the night ended, the Great Wall sparkled under the lights, and the applause echoed across the mountains a reminder that true friendship goes beyond borders.

This historic fashion show not only celebrated style but also sent a strong message of peace, connection, and creativity between Pakistan and China a friendship as timeless as the Great Wall itself.
