PTI Sindh President Haleem Adil Sheikh demanded the lifting of the ban on meetings with party founder Imran Khan, who is currently incarcerated in Rawalpindi’s Adiala jail. Sheikh emphasized the importance of their scheduled meeting and warned of potential consequences if the ban was not lifted. He also highlighted the threats to Khan’s life and the need to ensure his safety.
Adil also addressed the issue of alleged rigging during the February 8 elections, stating that his counsel, Barrister Ali Tahir, had filed a petition in the election tribunal regarding poll fraud in NA-238. He claimed that he had won the seat with a lead of over 75,000 votes against his rival MQM-P candidate.
The PTI leader maintained that the matter was not just about obtaining a mandate but also about safeguarding the votes of the general public who came out to vote. He vowed to reclaim the stolen mandate and free Khan from prison, announcing a march aimed at reclaiming Karachi’s stolen mandate backed by a million-march.In addition to these demands, Adil criticized the PPP government in Sindh, accusing them of handing over the province to “extortionists, bloodshedders, and target killers.” He also announced that the PTI would mobilize their one million voters for a day and march legally after obtaining permission.
