President Asif Ali Zardari has strongly condemned the deadly bomb blast at a Chinese restaurant in Afghanistan’s capital, Kabul. The attack has drawn serious concern across the region and renewed worries about security in the war-hit country.
President Zardari expressed deep sorrow over the loss of innocent lives. He offered heartfelt condolences to the families of those who were killed or injured in the explosion. The president said such acts of violence are tragic and unacceptable.
President Zardari also praised the courage and dedication of Chinese citizens working in Afghanistan. He said that despite growing insecurity and serious threats to their lives, Chinese workers continue to support development projects in the country. He added that their efforts reflect strong commitment and deserve respect and protection.
While condemning the attack, the president criticized the Taliban administration for failing to meet its promises under the Doha Peace Agreement. He said one of the key commitments was to ensure that Afghan soil is not used for terrorism, which, according to him, has not been fulfilled.
The president recalled that Pakistan has repeatedly raised concerns about terrorist groups operating in Afghanistan. He stressed that no militant organization should be allowed to use Afghan territory as a safe haven or base for attacks.
President Zardari further said that peace and stability in the region depend on collective efforts. He emphasized that maintaining regional security is a shared responsibility and requires serious action from all sides.
The statement ended with a call for stronger measures to prevent terrorism and protect civilians and foreign nationals working for peace and development in Afghanistan.
