Islamabad Rain Emergency: CDA activates FIre & rescue units

Acting on the directions of the Honourable Chairman CDA, Chief Commissioner Islamabad, and the Director General Civil Defence, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has mobilized all fire and rescue units across its substations to manage the ongoing rain emergency.

Rescue teams are actively patrolling various sectors of the city to maintain vigilance, respond to emergencies, and assist residents in need. Successful operations have included rescuing individuals trapped under a fallen tree near Aabpara and mitigating waterlogging issues in low-lying areas.

The CDA has reaffirmed its commitment to public safety and has urged citizens to report emergencies immediately, allowing the Emergency and Disaster Management Wing to respond swiftly.

In a separate incident, a woman driving on 7th Avenue accidentally veered onto the footpath. Rescue teams arrived on the scene quickly, ensured her safety, and provided necessary support. She remained unharmed, thanks to the prompt response of the rescue personnel.
