Former Prime Minister and President of Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has strongly condemned the police action on his house during the raid carried out to arrest Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Parvez Elahi, calling it “unacceptable”. He called for the removal of officers involved in the raid and said that both his sons were injured during the operation. Hussain explained that the police had gone to Elahi’s residence but were informed that he was at his residence.

The police then left Elahi’s house and went to his residence instead. Both of his sons stopped the police from entering his house, but they still tried to enter the house forcefully. When the police were questioned about the raid, they claimed it was related to embezzlement in development work done in Gujrat, but both of his sons were not related to the case.

The raid has become a hot topic in political circles, and the Punjab caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has expressed his dismay over the police’s actions. He has assured the public that no illegal activity will be allowed by anyone. The PTI has also criticized the police’s actions, voicing concerns regarding the arrests of its workers and leaders. The federal government has distanced itself from the raid, blaming the Punjab caretaker setup for the incident.

Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has called for the removal of officers involved in the raid and has asked his sons to be patient. He has also expressed his reluctance to say anything that would harm national politics as the country is already facing a lot of problems. The PML-Q leader has promised to speak about the raid at another time.

The police’s actions have raised questions about their professionalism and respect for the rule of law. The incident has sparked debate about the need for accountability in the police force and the government’s responsibility to ensure that citizens’ rights are protected.

The government should take swift action to investigate the incident and hold those responsible accountable. The public deserves to know the truth about what happened and why it happened. The police force needs to be reformed to ensure that such incidents do not occur again in the future.
