LAHORE: Social media personality Rajab Butt, who commands a following of over six million on TikTok, has once again made headlines — this time for assaulting a young man in Lahore’s Satu Katla area.
A video that went viral on social media showed Butt, allegedly angered over not being given way, physically attacking Imran Shayan with the help of his associates inside a vehicle. The clip triggered widespread public outrage, prompting police intervention.

Both parties were summoned by authorities, where Rajab Butt issued a formal apology to Imran Shayan, terming the incident as a “misunderstanding.”
“I sincerely apologise. What happened was unfortunate and based on confusion,” Butt told police officials in Imran’s presence.
Following the apology, Imran chose to forgive Rajab, and both parties signed a reconciliation agreement. The police, after recording their statements, confirmed the truce and halted legal proceedings against the TikToker.
This isn’t the first time Rajab Butt has found himself at the center of legal trouble.
Earlier this year, a case was registered against him for allegedly threatening fellow TikTok star Umer Fayyaz Butt. Additionally, in January, he admitted to keeping an undocumented lion cub that he received as a wedding gift — a violation of wildlife protection laws.
He avoided jail time in that case by agreeing to produce and post animal rights awareness videos for one year, as per the court’s directive.
With controversies piling up, Rajab Butt’s reputation continues to be a topic of debate, even as his social media popularity shows no sign of waning.
