Social media influencer and TikToker Minahil Malik is once again at the center of controversy as a new leaked video allegedly featuring her has gone viral on multiple platforms, sparking fresh concerns over digital privacy and the exploitation of women online.

The video, which reportedly shows Minahil in a compromising position with a fellow male content creator, began circulating on WhatsApp groups late Tuesday night. Within hours, “Minahil Malik’s new video” began trending on Google and social media platforms, as netizens speculated about the identity of the male individual in the clip.

While Minahil Malik has not yet issued an official statement regarding the latest leak, her name has been trending across platforms, with many questioning whether this is linked to a previous series of leaked videos from October 2024, which had forced her to temporarily leave social media.

In October, Minahil called the earlier viral videos “fake” and deactivated her accounts for six weeks. One of the clips allegedly featured her alongside a man identified as “SK,” which she strongly denied. Upon returning to Instagram, she told followers, “Everyone makes mistakes, but people only focused on mine. No one looked at the kind of person I am.”

The resurfacing of yet another explicit video, without consent, has reignited debate on online harassment, cyberbullying, and the inadequate enforcement of cybercrime laws in Pakistan.

Digital rights activists and legal experts are urging the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to take immediate action under the Pakistan Electronic Crimes Act (PECA), which criminalizes the unauthorised creation and distribution of intimate content.

In a similar recent case, the FIA arrested a man for producing and spreading explicit videos of TikToker Imsha Rehman, who bravely took legal action instead of issuing a public denial.

“People on social media think making and sharing videos of others is entertaining, but they fail to understand how it can devastate someone’s life,” Imsha said in a statement.

The repeated targeting of female influencers highlights the urgent need for stronger enforcement mechanisms, educational campaigns on digital ethics, and mental health support for victims of online abuse.
