Controversial TikTok personality Kashif Zameer has once again landed in legal trouble after being arrested by the Crime Control Department (CCD) for the public display of weapons and promoting gun culture on social media.

Zameer was detained from Lahore’s Iqbal Town along with 13 armed private security guards after videos showing them brandishing heavy weapons in public went viral online.

According to officials, the CCD launched a swift operation following the viral content, citing serious concerns over public safety and illegal possession of firearms. All guards seen in the footage were also arrested, with many allegedly in possession of unauthorised weaponry.

Multiple First Information Reports (FIRs) have been registered against Zameer and his guards under laws related to illegal weapons display, public intimidation, and violations of public safety protocols.

In a video released by police, a handcuffed Zameer publicly apologised for his actions, stating,

“I am ashamed and seek forgiveness for promoting ‘dala’ culture and showcasing weapons publicly. I promise that neither I nor my family will engage in such actions again.”

Kashif Zameer has previously been at the centre of several controversies. In 2021, he gained notoriety after hosting Turkish actor Engin Altan Duzyatan, famous for his role in Dirilis: Ertugrul. He was later arrested by the Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) for allegedly defrauding Duzyatan, issuing bogus cheques, and misusing the actor’s name and images for personal gain.

That same year, he faced legal charges for using a fake government vehicle number plate, unauthorised blue lights, and possession of illegal arms. In April 2025, an FIR was lodged against him for mocking police uniforms in a viral TikTok video.
