Popular actress Hania Aamir, who boasts over 18.6 million followers on Instagram, has taken a firm stand against the spread of fake news, calling out social media users and content creators for fabricating stories just to gain views and engagement.

In a recent Instagram story, Hania reacted to a viral video falsely using her name. The video, which was about mobile camera tips and tricks, misleadingly featured her name in the caption to draw attention.

“It’s fake and fabricated,” she wrote, expressing her frustration with misleading posts.
“Although it’s not that serious, you people write anything, say anything, and talk about yourself,” she added.

Hania used her platform to shed light on the increasing issue of misinformation on social media. She called for responsibility and urged followers to verify facts before sharing or believing any news.

“Anyone says anything and you agree. You keep playing with each other — what are you doing?” she questioned in her Instagram story.

Her direct remarks reflect her commitment to authenticity and the need for greater digital awareness among users.

This is not the first time the actress has been targeted by fake posts. Recently, a fabricated Instagram story claiming that Hania had appealed to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi after the Pahalgam attack went viral.

“I have nothing to do with this post. It’s fake,” Hania clarified.

Shortly afterward, another baseless rumor circulated suggesting she had created a separate Instagram account for Indian fans. She shut down the claim, reiterating that she operates only one official Instagram account.
