Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan has broken her silence on the shocking knife attack on her father, Saif Ali Khan, revealing how the terrifying incident changed their family’s perspective on life overnight.

In a recent interview with an Indian publication, Sara reflected on the traumatic experience, expressing gratitude for her father’s recovery.

“It makes you realize what truly matters. The entire family felt immense gratitude because it could have gone so wrong. I am just so thankful that everything turned out fine,” she shared.

The Sky Force actress emphasized how the incident reinforced the importance of cherishing life.

“We often talk about mental health and mindfulness, but moments like this really make you realize how precious life is. Every day deserves to be celebrated,” she added.

When asked if the ordeal brought them closer as a family, Sara responded, “It’s not about being closer, he is my father, and we already share a deep bond. But it was a stark reminder that life can change in an instant. It taught me to be more grateful.”

The horrifying attack took place earlier this year on January 16, when an intruder, identified as Bangladeshi national Shariful Islam, broke into Saif Ali Khan’s Bandra residence with the intent to rob.

A confrontation ensued between the suspect and one of Saif’s staff members, prompting the actor to intervene. The intruder then stabbed him six times, inflicting injuries near his neck and spine.

Saif Ali Khan was immediately rushed to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent multiple surgeries. He was discharged after five days and has since been recovering well.

Despite the distressing experience, Sara Ali Khan and her family have chosen to focus on the positive, using the incident as a reminder to cherish life and the people they love.
