Veteran Pakistani actress Saba Faisal has revealed that she declined an Indian advertisement offer just weeks before the Pahalgam incident that heightened tensions between India and Pakistan.

In a candid appearance on Nida Yasir’s morning show, Saba explained,

“I was initially open to the ad, but when they asked for an audition, I refused. I’m a senior actress and didn’t have time for it.”

The actress emphasised the importance of standing with Pakistan during sensitive times. “Just as Indian celebrities support their government, we should support ours in response to false accusations,” she said, referring to India’s recent claims after the Kashmir attack.

She added,

“At the time, I didn’t know why I turned it down, but now I feel it was absolutely the right decision.”

Saba revealed that the Indian director’s assistant was shocked by her refusal and questioned her reasoning.

“Had I accepted that project, I don’t know how people would be reacting today,” she concluded, feeling reassured in hindsight.
