Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan once again proved his global musical prowess, performing to a massive crowd of nearly 12,000 attendees at the OVO Arena Wembley in London. But this concert held something truly special — the debut performance of his son, Shah Zaman Ali Khan, marking a new chapter in the legendary musical legacy of the Khans.
The London concert was a part of the artist’s “Legacy Of The Khans 2025 Tour”, which included previously sold-out shows in Birmingham and Manchester. Returning to London after two years, Rahat delivered a powerful performance, bringing Qawwali and Sufi music to life with his signature style.
Organised by renowned arts promoter Vijay Bhola, founder of Rock On Music, the concert became a historic milestone not just for Rahat but for his rising-star son as well.

Shah Zaman Ali Khan, only 20 years old, stepped into the spotlight and stunned the audience with five solo Qawwali renditions. His unique voice and composure instantly earned him comparisons to his grandfather, the legendary Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.
“It was emotional to see so many people asking him to sing Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s Qawwalis and Ghazals because he sounds like him,” said an emotional Rahat after the concert.
Fans in the crowd echoed the sentiment, calling his performance a “rebirth of the Nusrat era”, and cheered Shah Zaman as he sang with passion and maturity beyond his years.

He praised both father and son for keeping the rich tradition of Qawwali alive while connecting with younger audiences around the world.
