PM Shehbaz Sharif’s 13 Phone Calls Become Social Media Comedy

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has been busy making phone calls to world leaders during the rising tensions between Israel and Iran. But while the calls were meant for diplomacy, many people online have turned the situation into a source of entertainment.

In the past seven days, the prime minister reportedly held 13 phone conversations with international leaders. During these calls, he expressed Pakistan’s concerns about the conflict and discussed the situation with leaders from the Middle East.

Among those he contacted were Mohammed bin Salman, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, as well as the leaders of Qatar and the United Arab Emirates. The discussions focused on regional tensions and possible ways to encourage peace.

However, the prime minister’s active “phone diplomacy” quickly caught attention on social media. Users on X began sharing jokes, memes, and funny comments about how often the premier had been on the phone.

Some users humorously said the prime minister might need a break from so many calls. Others joked that someone should check his phone bill after making international calls almost every day.

A few people even playfully suggested that the phone lines to the prime minister’s office should be disconnected for a while, just so he could get some rest.

Many social media users also joked like a typical Pakistani family member, saying that spending too much time on the phone is not good for health a common warning heard from mothers in many households.

Although the online reactions were mostly humorous, they also showed how quickly political news can turn into viral entertainment on social media.

For now, while regional tensions continue, the internet seems more focused on the prime minister’s busy phone schedule than the calls themselves.
