Muneeba Shah, a stage actress and dancer, was shot dead in Peshawar late Saturday night by unidentified gunmen who opened fire on her rickshaw near Ring Road. Police verified that woman died on the spot from several gunshot wounds.

According to Machni Gate Police, the perpetrators opened fire numerous times before departing the area. The rickshaw driver was also hurt and sent to a local hospital for treatment.
Police responded quickly to the event and roped off the area. Forensic professionals gathered bullet casings and other evidence to help in the investigation.

Authorities added that search activities are ongoing to locate and apprehend the culprits. Investigators are also investigating into probable reasons for the attack, although no arrests had been made at the time of publication.
