In a key breakthrough, investigators have managed to unlock three mobile phones and a tablet belonging to the deceased, using passwords retrieved from her diary. The data and chat history from these devices are currently being analyzed to trace Humaira’s final interactions. However, police confirmed her laptop remains inaccessible at this stage.
Police have also recorded initial statements from two individuals and have summoned the building’s watchman and cleaning staff for further questioning. Investigators also plan to approach her gym trainer and the beauty salon staff she regularly visited.

While police have stated that there were no signs of forced entry and the apartment was locked from the inside, a Karachi resident, Shahzaib Sohail, has filed a petition in City Court, asserting that Humaira’s death was not natural but a premeditated murder.
In his petition, Sohail cited disturbing details from the scene, including the state of the body and a long absence of contact with family and friends. He has urged the court to launch a comprehensive investigation and include Humaira’s family as part of the inquiry.
The petitioner also noted the estranged relationship between Humaira and her family, particularly after her father initially refused to claim the body, fueling speculation of familial discord.
