Veteran theater actor Naseem Vicky has spoken about the harsh realities of stage performances, saying many girls and boys dance out of compulsion, not choice. He explained that missing even a week of work can leave performers struggling to feed their families, as many have personal responsibilities like sick parents or children to support.

Vicky also shared that the Punjab government’s ban on dance in theater caused him huge financial losses, around 8 million rupees in seven months, and criticized officials for imposing restrictions without providing alternatives.
On a personal level, he revealed that his wife left theater after marriage and that he does not want his children to join the industry due to its challenges. He now works only with actresses already active in theater to protect new performers from harm.

The actor emphasized that many critics do not understand the pressures performers face, including financial struggles and family duties, which often force them onto the stage despite the difficulties.
