Shammi Jalandhari has also been involved in promoting peace between the Indians and Pakistani communities through organizing the “Indo-Pak Mushera” This event is held in South Australia every year and the goal behind organizing this event is to share poetry, attracting renowned poets and writers from both India and Pakistan to come and celebrate their talents through a shared platforms. In addition to this, Shammi is a leading member of the “Mushaira Council of Australia” along with his very close Pakistani friend and fellow poet, Mr Basharat Sami. Moreover, under the organisation “Mushaira Council of Australia” He has organized many events such as “Milap“, “Mehfil e Mushaira, “Mehfil e Sukhan” where Indians and Pakistanis living in Australia can spend the evening enjoying their heritage through poetry. Moreover, Shammi wants to give his best in bringing peace between Indians and Pakistanis through his poetry and songs. He wants to share his poetry and songs with the world and also wants peace.
