Actress Mishi Khan has ignited a social media storm after publicly criticizing Fawad Khan and Hania Aamir for condemning the Pahalgam attack in Indian-occupied Kashmir, while staying silent on similar tragedies within Pakistan.
Mishi, known for her blunt and unapologetic opinions, took to social media to question the integrity of celebrities who rush to offer condolences on international tragedies but fail to speak when their own country bleeds.
“Loss of life anywhere is tragic, but why are these artists quiet when attacks happen in Pakistan?” she asked.

Calling out Fawad Khan and Hania Aamir by name, she accused them of lacking self-respect and blindly following Indian media narratives, particularly when Pakistan is being blamed.
“The Indian media is blaming Pakistan again, and our people are quick to post condemnations. Where is your dignity? When we’re accused, we should also stop cricket and other activities,” she remarked.
Her comments found wide support online, with many X (formerly Twitter) users echoing her concerns. One user commented, “These stars never speak about attacks in Balochistan or the Jaffar Express incident.” Another accused them of “chasing Bollywood dreams at the cost of national loyalty.”

A few even speculated that Fawad Khan’s post might be strategically timed ahead of the May 9 release of his reported upcoming Indian film, Barzakh.
Mishi concluded her message by urging Pakistani celebrities to show dignity and stand up for their country, instead of staying silent or posting selectively based on career prospects.
The debate has once again raised questions about celebrity responsibility, patriotism, and the thin line between global relevance and national loyalty.
