Authorities confirmed on April 18 that an FIR was lodged under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) against Zameer and several police officers who appeared in the video.

In the widely circulated footage, Zameer is seen attending a wedding while dressed in a Punjab Police uniform, handing over a tray of cash to uniformed officers before throwing currency notes over the crowd. The FIR states that this act violated the dignity and sanctity of the police uniform.

Further controversy erupted when it was revealed that artificial intelligence had been used to digitally alter the officers’ uniform colors, a move seen as an intentional provocation. The video has sparked public backlash on social media platforms, particularly X (formerly Twitter), where users called for strict accountability.

The situation deepened with shocking revelations about Zameer’s alleged influence within the police force. Reports claim some officers worked for him unofficially for as little as PKR. 5,000 per day, raising serious questions about the department’s integrity and internal controls.

This is not the first time Zameer has faced legal action. He has a history of social media stunts and controversial acts, often resulting in arrests or legal proceedings. As investigations continue, the Punjab Police have reiterated their commitment to protecting the sanctity of the uniform and cracking down on such misuse.

Legal proceedings are now underway, with public scrutiny mounting over both Zameer’s actions and the police officers involved. The case highlights growing concerns about influencer behavior, digital misconduct, and unchecked misuse of law enforcement symbols online.
