The grieving parents of actress and model Humaira Asghar Ali, whose mysterious death continues to dominate headlines, have spoken publicly for the first time, challenging media reports and suggesting that their daughter may have been the victim of foul play.
In separate interviews with local television channels, Dr. Asghar, the actress’s father, and her mother firmly denied allegations that the family had abandoned Humaira in life or in death. They also rejected reports that she had been living in financial hardship before her body was discovered on July 8, 2025, inside a storeroom of her DHA Phase IV apartment in Karachi.

“It is untrue that we refused to take her body,” said Dr. Asghar. “Once the police completed legal formalities, I sent my son to Karachi to receive it. We were not even informed immediately—it was only after relatives contacted us that we knew something had happened.”
Humaira, aged 32, was found deceased in her rented apartment in an advanced state of decomposition, with autopsy reports estimating her time of death to be early October 2024—suggesting her body remained undiscovered for nearly 10 months.
The case triggered a storm of speculation online and in the media, with many questioning the family’s absence, her living conditions, and the unusual delay in discovering the body. However, Dr. Asghar has now voiced suspicions of foul play, stating,
“I haven’t visited Karachi myself, but from what I’ve heard, her body was found lying face down, and the door locks were broken or tampered with. Whoever did this does not fear God.”

Despite their sorrow, the parents praised Sindh Police for their diligence and professionalism in pursuing the investigation. “The officers are doing their job with seriousness,” Dr. Asghar added.
Addressing claims that Humaira was facing financial ruin, her father insisted she was financially independent.
“She earned well and never had money problems. Her room was full of expensive clothes she hadn’t even worn. If she missed rent or bills, it must have happened after she passed away.”

He described Humaira as deeply committed to her profession and passionate about social causes. “She cared for orphaned and poor children. She never once demanded her share of the family inheritance. That wasn’t who she was.”
Humaira’s mother recounted her final conversation with her daughter, which took place in late August 2024. “She told me her SIMs were being blocked and that someone was harassing her. But she didn’t go into details. After that, her phone went dead. I kept calling, but no one answered.”
Initially, the mother suspected that Humaira may have traveled abroad—possibly to Turkey—and was temporarily unreachable. “I had a strange sense of worry in my heart. Then one day, I turned on the TV and saw the news. I was completely shocked.”
