Hakeem Muhammad Shahzad has opened up about his controversial marriage to Dania Shah, the former wife of late televangelist and politician Aamir Liaquat, in a candid interview that has stirred public discussion.

When asked whether love played a role in his decision to marry Dania, Shahzad was quick to deny it, stating clearly:

“Did I fall in love with Dania Shah? I’ll be honest with you: no, I didn’t fall in love with her. I’m not that immature to just fall in love like that. Okay?”

Known for his bold opinions and past marital history, Shahzad emphasized that this marriage was not based on romantic feelings but on a sense of moral obligation. He explained that Dania and her mother had approached him for help, which deeply moved him.

“Her mother told me, ‘We need help.’ That’s a very big word. Sympathy was a major factor,” he said.

Shahzad also shared that he had already been married three times prior and remained socially active despite those marriages.

“I was already married. Not once, but three times. Still, I had the habit of hanging out in parks,” he admitted.

He dismissed the notion of falling for someone based purely on appearance, saying:

“Love doesn’t just happen like that. You see a young girl and fall in love? That’s a joke.”

In conclusion, Shahzad offered his broader view on love and respect:

“Love is God-gifted. It’s not even in your control. Let’s say someone tells you to respect someone—why would you, unless you see some quality in them?”

The interview sheds light on the unconventional dynamics behind his marriage and raises broader questions about societal expectations, personal responsibility, and the meaning of love in relationships.
