Top global celebrities, including pop icon Rihanna, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, and Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka, are among the guests who have flown in for a three-day gala celebration hosted by billionaire tycoon Mukesh Ambani. The event is a pre-wedding ceremony for Ambani’s younger son Anant and his fiancée Radhika Merchant, the daughter of wealthy pharmaceutical moguls.

On Saturday, the guests will embark on a “Walk on the Wildside” at an “animal rescue center” in Jamnagar, Gujarat, where they will wear “jungle fever” outfits, advised to wear comfortable shoes and clothing. The evening will see guests change into more elegant attire for an Indian culture-themed party.

Mukesh Ambani, 66, is the chairman of Reliance Industries, India’s largest company by market capitalization, and the world’s 10th-richest person, worth over $116 billion. His family home, Antilia, a 27-floor skyscraper in Mumbai, is one of the city’s most prominent landmarks. The event follows Ambani’s daughter’s 2018 wedding, which reportedly cost $100 million and featured a performance by US pop megastar Beyoncé.

This time, the guest list includes Disney CEO Bob Iger, following a deal between Reliance Industries and Walt Disney to merge their Indian media businesses, creating an $8.5 billion entertainment giant in India, the world’s most populous nation and fifth-largest economy. Bollywood stars Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan, cricket icons Sachin Tendulkar and MS Dhoni, and industry titan Gautam Adani are also invited.
