Gigi and Bella Hadid, two of the world’s most recognized supermodels, have revealed the existence of a previously unknown half-sister, Aydan Nix, in a heartfelt public statement.
The 23-year-old, who was raised in Florida, is the biological daughter of their father, real estate mogul Mohamed Hadid, and a woman named Terri Hatfield Dull. The relationship reportedly took place after Hadid’s divorce from Yolanda Hadid in 2001.

“Over 20 years ago, our dad, while single, had a brief relationship that led to a pregnancy,” Gigi and Bella shared in a statement released to Daily Mail. “Aydan was born and raised in Florida, growing up with the man she lovingly knew as her father until his sudden passing when she was 19.”
The revelation came after Aydan took a genetic test in late 2023, following the death of the man she believed to be her biological father. The test results confirmed her connection to the Hadid family. Her introduction to the Hadids occurred while she was studying abroad in Paris.
“We’ve embraced Aydan with open arms and cherish this unexpected and beautiful addition to our family,” said the Hadid sisters. “She’s spent time with all of us, including our dad, and as siblings, we’ve had many open and loving conversations— with Aydan included — about how to support and protect her.”
While the Hadid family is embracing their newest member, they also emphasized respect for Aydan’s privacy, noting that she now lives in New York and prefers to keep a low profile.
Mohamed Hadid, aside from Gigi, 30, Bella, 28, and Anwar Hadid, 25, also has two daughters from a previous marriage to Mary Butler — Marielle, 44, and Alana, 41.
