Feroze Khan’s second wife, Dr Zainab, has strongly criticised social media narratives suggesting that a husband’s violence could be interpreted as a sign of affection.
In a post shared on Instagram, Dr Zainab explained that her sister-in-law had forwarded her some viral videos. In those clips, a medical professional claimed that if a man mistreated or assaulted his wife, it should be seen as a display of love. The videos further suggested that women should sacrifice their dignity for their husbands to prevent them from “looking elsewhere.”
Dr Zainab denounced such arguments, stressing that these ideas only normalise violence within society. She said the notion was both harmful and unscientific, going against the principles of psychology. According to her, love is expressed through respect, care, and kindness — not through abuse or humiliation.
She emphasised that no woman should be told to give up her self-respect for marriage, as healthy relationships are built on trust and security, not fear and control. Dr Zainab warned that when professionals make such claims online, it risks encouraging abusive behaviour and increasing domestic crimes.
In her post, she clarified that she was not targeting anyone by name but wanted to highlight the dangerous consequences of such messages. She expressed concern that many women in society already endure mental and physical suffering, and telling them to compromise on their dignity only deepens their pain.
Feroze Khan married Dr Zainab, a psychologist, in June 2024 after his previous marriage with Alizey Sultan ended in divorce in 2022. Their four-year relationship was marred by allegations of domestic violence, and the couple later engaged in a legal dispute over custody of their children. As per court rulings, their son lives with Feroze, while their daughter resides with Alizey.
