Pakistani actor Fahad Mustafa has apologised to senior actress Atiqa Odho after his recent comments created debate on social media. The issue started when Atiqa shared her opinion about Fahad during a television show.
Earlier, Atiqa appeared on a talk show where she was shown pictures of different actors and asked to give advice. When Fahad Mustafa’s picture came up, she said that it might be time for him to work with women closer to his own age. Her comment quickly caught public attention.
Later, Fahad responded during a television transmission where he was present with actor Humayun Saeed. In a sarcastic tone, he said he did not understand what problem “Atiqa aapa” had with him. He joked that maybe she would only be happy if he and Humayun started playing heroes opposite her. He also made remarks about surgeries, which many viewers felt were inappropriate. His comments sparked criticism online, with many people calling for respect toward senior artists.
As the criticism grew, Fahad decided to clear the air. On Tuesday, February 24, 2026, he publicly apologised during an episode of Jeeto Pakistan. Speaking on the show, he said, “I apologise Atiqa Appa.” He added that relationships are beautiful when there is forgiveness and no ego.
Fahad also praised Atiqa, calling her his senior and saying that he respects and loves her. He described her as one of the most beautiful women in Pakistan and said he holds her in high regard. He ended his message with prayers and good wishes for her health and happiness.
The apology was appreciated by many fans, who felt that it helped calm the situation. The incident started as a light comment but turned into a serious debate about age, respect, and professionalism in the entertainment industry.
Now, Atiqa Odho has formally and gracefully apologized to Fahad Mustafa. She also urged netizens not to blow the issue out of proportion and to stop discussing it further.
Taking to her official Instagram account, Atiqa Odho wrote, “Learning to live with social media is a new phenomenon. In a recent interview, my comment about Fahad Mustafa perhaps hurt his feelings, and he reacted emotionally. If I’ve unintentionally hurt him or anyone else, I apologize. In these times, when the world is suffering from uncertainty, we must help others stay afloat. I’ve always been there for my friends in the media and genuinely don’t wish harm upon anyone. We are only human, and to err is human. Let’s move on and pray for better times to come. Friends, let’s not blow this issue up anymore. Fahad is a talented and hardworking professional. He reacted out of emotion, and I truly feel sad that we, as public figures, can’t say anything lightheartedly without being attacked. Forgive and forget.”
With his apology, Fahad Mustafa and Atiqa Oodho have shown that misunderstandings can be resolved through respect and kind words.
