Pakistani actress Durefishan Saleem has spoken out against recent rumours linking her to actor Bilal Abbas Khan, rejecting reports that the two secretly got married.
In a detailed interview, the Ishq Murshid star addressed the speculation that has circulated on social media and YouTube channels over the past several months. She dismissed the claims as false, saying that had a marriage actually taken place, the public would have seen some confirmation by now.
Durefishan acknowledged that she and Bilal shared a friendly connection on set, describing their time working together as light-hearted and comfortable. However, she clarified that this closeness remained professional and did not extend beyond their roles.

Without naming the source, Durefishan voiced concern over the rise of baseless personal content in entertainment reporting. She said it was unfortunate that some sections of the media were shifting towards gossip-driven narratives without verifying facts.
She remarked that while marriage is a deeply personal matter, it is also a life event that people usually celebrate openly, not something to keep hidden.
The actress also pointed to a broader issue, suggesting that the local media’s approach was beginning to resemble certain elements of Indian tabloid journalism, where headlines are often driven by rumours rather than reality.
