Diljit Dosanjh, an Indian musician and actor, has spoken out over the ban imposed on his film Sardaar Ji 3 in India following the Pahalgam terrorist assault. Speaking during a concert in Malaysia, he said that the film was unfairly attacked and that he was falsely labeled as “anti-national.”

Dosanjh said that the video was shot prior to the assault and questioned why his film was prohibited while cricket matches between India and Pakistan resumed afterwards. He stated that he and his community constantly pray for stern punishment for terrorists while remaining loyal to the country.

Responding to criticism, Dosanjh stated that the Punjabi and Sikh communities have always been patriotic and will never oppose India. He was disappointed that attempts were made to depict him in a bad light.

The uproar erupted since the film co-stars Pakistani actress Hania Aamir and Dosanjh. While Sardaar Ji 3 was not released in Indian cinemas, movie performed well worldwide, particularly among the Punjabi diaspora.
