Pakistani filmmaker and director Athar Abbas began his career as a director in the media industry with his first project, the music video “Mast Nazro Se” by Omer Inayat. The music video went viral after its release, and it was the beginning of his career. Since then, Abbas has worked on projects, including music videos, documentaries, and other media projects. Working with Omer Inayat gave Athar Abbas the chance to explore both the technical and creative sides of video production. At a very young age, Athar has developed his interest in film and photography. He stepped into the media industry, and his first music video became the project that introduced him as a director in the industry.

Following the success of his debut, Abbas went on to collaborate with artists in the media industry, such as Salim-Sulaiman, Abida Parveen, Sami Yusuf, Ali Haider, Falak Shabir, and Sahara UK. In addition to this, Abbas has started a production company with his brother Bilal Abbas named Athar-Bilal Films. Along with his brother, they have worked on projects, including commercials, short films, and documentaries. In a short time, their company has marked its name in the industry.

Abbas also made a series called “Untold Pakistan”. This series shares the cultural traditions, personal stories, and local history from different parts of the country. His project, Untold Pakistan, has quickly gained recognition and gratitude for documenting Pakistani society, which remained undocumented. Over time, Athar Abbas has continued to work in filmmaking and storytelling, focusing on real stories that showcase the culture and history of Pakistan.
