The CEO of U.S. tech company Astronomer, Andy Byers, has been sent on leave after a video of him and the company’s HR head, Christian Cabort, went viral online. The two were seen hugging at a Coldplay concert, even though both are married to other people.
The moment was captured when the concert camera showed the crowd and zoomed in on the pair. As soon as they noticed the camera, Byers sat down quickly, and Cabort turned her face away—but the video had already been broadcast and shared widely on social media.

People online have criticized them for breaking company rules and acting unprofessionally, especially since Christian Cabort is in charge of HR. The video raised concerns about workplace ethics and personal conduct at high levels.
After the video spread, Andy Byers turned off comments on his LinkedIn account, and sources say his wife deleted her Facebook profile. Astronomer later confirmed that the CEO has been placed on temporary leave, and an internal investigation is underway to look into what happened and whether company rules were broken.
The company said in a short statement, “We are aware of the incident and have started an internal review. We expect professionalism from all employees, including leadership.”
The case has raised serious questions about office relationships, especially between top executives, and whether proper boundaries and ethics were followed.
