The Punjab Education Department is expected to reopen the e-transfer process for teachers shortly after Eid holidays. This phase will prioritize the placement of over 1,200 teachers who have either recently received promotions or are still waiting for postings due to earlier promotions.
In Lahore district alone, more than 50 promoted teachers are awaiting adjustment. Education officials believe that these placements will be managed during the initial phase of the post-Eid transfer schedule.
Once this phase is completed, the department is likely to begin another e-transfer cycle in July. This round will be based on open merit, allowing eligible teachers from across the province to apply for transfers to preferred locations.

Sources within the department shared that after the completion of the open merit transfers, the Cabinet Committee is expected to review and approve a new rationalization policy. The purpose of this plan will be to ensure a fair and balanced distribution of teaching staff in schools across Punjab.
The step-by-step approach aims to address both pending promotions and general transfer requests while maintaining staffing needs at educational institutions.
