A student from Nankana Sahib has earned widespread praise after securing third position in the Lahore Board’s matriculation examination, despite coming from a humble background.

Faizan Raza, the son of a vegetable vendor, scored an impressive 1,186 marks out of 1,200 in the Science Group, placing him among the top achievers in the region.

He studied at a government high school in Shahkot, a town within the Nankana Sahib district. His academic success has become a symbol of perseverance and hope, particularly for students from underprivileged families.

Speaking to local media, Faizan shared that his achievement was the result of constant encouragement from his father and his own dedication to his studies. He said financial struggles never stopped him from dreaming big, crediting his father’s support for helping him stay focused.
