The Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board has released a new Urdu textbook for eleventh-grade students, aligning with the revised academic framework introduced for the current year by the Punjab Education Curriculum and Assessment Authority (PECAA).

This change is part of a broader update affecting multiple subjects, including English, Islamic Studies, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Mathematics, and Computer Science. Students in both ninth and eleventh grades will follow the newly designed syllabi starting this academic session.

The updated Urdu textbook has been developed by a team of experienced educators, including Dr. Khawar Nawazish, Tariq Habib, Professor Zafar-ul-Haq Chishti, Tahir Siddiqui, and Hannan Mahmood. A total of 27,000 copies have been printed, each priced at Rs151.

In addition to the official textbook, a supplementary guidebook titled “Gohar Urdu” has been published by Professor Naseer Bashir of Dial Singh College. The guide aims to support students with exam preparation and is fully aligned with PECAA’s revised curriculum.

The updated content and supporting materials are intended to enhance learning outcomes and reflect modern educational standards. Educational authorities believe that these changes will better equip students for higher education and competitive exams.
