The Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) has issued a revised schedule for matriculation and intermediate exams that were previously postponed due to heightened tensions between Pakistan and India.

In a statement released by the board’s chairman, Muhammad Adnan Khan, the matriculation practical exams are now set to take place on May 27 and 29. Meanwhile, the intermediate theory papers will be held on May 31 and June 16.

The board has confirmed that students will sit their exams at the centres previously assigned to them, with no alterations in the seating arrangements. This measure is aimed at ensuring continuity and minimising confusion.

To facilitate students, BISE Rawalpindi has uploaded new roll number slips on its official website. However, candidates who already possess the earlier-issued slips can also appear for the exams without issue, as the previous slips will remain valid.

In a related update, the board announced the cancellation of the Civics Part Two paper. Instead of a retake, students will be awarded marks in this subject based on their performance in Civics Part One.

These changes come in response to security concerns and aim to provide students with clarity and certainty regarding their academic future. The board has advised all candidates to stay updated through the official website and ensure they arrive at their respective centres on time.
