The Punjab Education Foundation has increased the monthly fees for children studying in its partner schools under the Foundation Assisted Schools, Education Voucher Scheme, and New School Program. The new fee schedule will apply from September 2025.

According to the notification, the rise was made because schools are facing higher costs due to inflation, teacher salaries, and classroom expenses. The foundation explained that the adjustment is meant to help schools keep up their academic quality and continue supporting students.
The new fees are set at 800 rupees per child for Nursery to Class II, 900 rupees for Class III to V, 1,100 rupees for Class VI to VIII, 1,400 rupees for Class IX to X in the Arts Group, 1,800 rupees for Class IX to X in the Science Group, 2,000 rupees for Intermediate in the Arts Group, and 2,200 rupees for Intermediate in the Science Group.
PEF has also directed schools to increase teacher honorariums along with the revised fees. The foundation believes this step will help schools remain financially stable while still offering free or subsidized education to thousands of low income families in Punjab.

It added that the revision is important to protect the quality of education despite the economic challenges.
