Lahore: The Punjab Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education officially announced the Matric 2025 results on Wednesday, highlighting strong academic performances across the province. Private school students outshone their peers, securing a majority of top positions in several districts.

Boards across Punjab, including Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Multan, Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, and DG Khan, released their results simultaneously. The annual examination marked high participation and encouraging pass rates, with notable performances from both government and private school students.

Sahiwal Board: 67.81% Overall Pass Rate

Out of 71,789 students, 48,680 passed the Matric exams, resulting in a 67.81% pass rate.

Top position holders were:

  • Muhammad Faizan – 1st position – 1185 marks

  • Umme Roman – 2nd position – 1187 marks

  • Faizan Fareed – 3rd position – 1189 marks

All three top positions were clinched by students from private schools:

  • Muhammad Moiz Qamar – 1st – 1189 marks

  • Maham Mumtaz – 2nd – 1187 marks

  • Meerab Warraich – 3rd – 1186 marks


Sargodha Board: Government and Private School Students Shine

The top scorers from Sargodha Board included a mix of both sectors:

  • Marwa Sohail (Private School) – 1st – 1187 marks

  • Siraj Khan (Govt. High School Kammar Mushani) – 2nd – 1186 marks

  • Asad, Mubeen, and Muneeb ur Rehman – Joint 3rd – 1184 marks


DG Khan Board: Hania Mahmood Tops with 1187 Marks

DG Khan Board reported a high 81.35% pass rate out of 91,180 candidates.
Top performers were:

  • Hania Mahmood (Layyah) – 1st – 1187 marks

  • Insha Ahmed – 2nd – 1186 marks

  • Nauman Waris, Zirish Fatima, Zainab Shoukat, Laiba Raza – Joint 3rd – 1184 marks

Board Chairman Ashfaq Ahmed Chaudhry praised the students’ efforts and academic discipline.


Gujranwala Board: 19 Students Secure Top Positions

In Gujranwala, 19 students achieved top positions across Science and Arts groups.
First position holders:

  • Shafayat Rasool, Alisha Zaib, and Fatima Shireez – Joint 1st – 1187 marks
    Second position:

  • Muhammad Mohed & Muhammad Abdullah – Joint 2nd – 1186 marks
    Third position:

  • Five students – Joint 3rd – 1185 marks

Girls dominated the results, securing seven of the top positions.

Rawalpindi Board: Lawrence College Leads with Top Spot

Rawalpindi Board announced the following toppers:

  • Muhammad Usman (Lawrence College, Ghora Gali) – 1st – 1188 marks

  • Bisma Ali (Punjab Girls School, Talagang) – 2nd – 1177 marks

  • Maryam Shehzadi (Bahria Foundation Girls School, Chakwal) – 3rd – 1175 marks
