The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Quetta has released the results of the annual matriculation examinations, showing an overall pass rate of 68.10%.
According to BISE Quetta Chairman Muhammad Ishaq, 148,114 students appeared in the exams this year, with 100,870 passing. The results revealed a notable difference in success rates between grades nine and ten.

For grade nine, 69,275 students sat the exam, but only 32,067 were declared successful, marking a pass rate of 46.29%. In contrast, grade ten saw 78,839 candidates take the exam, with 68,803 passing — resulting in a significantly higher pass percentage of 87.27%.
In the overall standings, Aftab Alam from Balochistan Residential College topped the board with 1,051 marks. Muhammad Hashir secured second place with 1,043 marks, while Muhammad Tufail and Saqib Ali shared third position, both scoring 1,038 marks.
