The federal government has officially declared the summer vacation schedule for all educational institutions under its control, confirming that schools will remain closed from June 5 to August 1.

An official notification, issued on Monday, stated that the decision was taken in response to the ongoing heatwave affecting several parts of the country. Authorities noted that the health and safety of students and school staff were central to the move.

To help manage the impact of the extreme heat in the days leading up to the holidays, the government has also adjusted school timings. Starting May 26, institutions will operate from 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM, allowing students to return home before peak afternoon temperatures.

The early shift in schedule is intended to minimize exposure to the high temperatures expected to persist over the coming weeks.
