In international markets, gold prices saw a modest gain of $5 per ounce, lifting the global rate to $3,368. Analysts believe global uncertainties are prompting investors to seek safer assets like gold, impacting local rates as well.
Unlike gold, silver prices in Pakistan remained unchanged. The rate for 24-karat silver held steady at Rs3,953 per tola, while the 10-gram rate was unchanged at Rs3,389.
