Gold rates in Pakistan increased again on Monday, in line with a slight rise in the international bullion market.

The All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association reported that the price of 24-karat gold per tola rose by Rs500, settling at Rs359,500. The 10-gram rate also saw a Rs429 increase, reaching Rs308,213.

This latest hike adds to a growing upward trend, following a sharp Rs6,100 surge reported after nine consecutive days of declining rates.

In international markets, gold prices saw a modest gain of $5 per ounce, lifting the global rate to $3,368. Analysts believe global uncertainties are prompting investors to seek safer assets like gold, impacting local rates as well.

Unlike gold, silver prices in Pakistan remained unchanged. The rate for 24-karat silver held steady at Rs3,953 per tola, while the 10-gram rate was unchanged at Rs3,389.
