Rupee Sees Slight Shifts Against Major Currencies

The Pakistani Rupee experienced slight fluctuations against major global currencies on Monday, according to exchange rates issued by local currency dealers.

The US Dollar showed a mild uptick, with its buying rate recorded at Rs282.4 and selling at Rs285.25. Among the top currencies, the British Pound remained the strongest, trading at Rs383.35 for buying and Rs387.70 for selling. The Euro also held firm, with rates ranging between Rs326.35 and Rs330.00.

From the Gulf region, the Saudi Riyal was quoted at Rs75.25 for buying and Rs76.15 for selling, while the UAE Dirham traded slightly higher at Rs76.95 and Rs77.80, respectively. The Qatari Riyal showed a similar trend, standing at Rs76.81 buying and Rs77.51 selling.

Among other notable currencies, the Kuwaiti Dinar and Bahraini Dinar remained some of the most expensive, crossing Rs900 and Rs750 respectively in selling rates. The Japanese Yen and Indian Rupee stayed on the lower end of the spectrum.

Currency experts noted that these minor adjustments are in line with ongoing market trends and external financial indicators. They added that no major shifts were expected unless there were significant changes in global commodity prices or geopolitical events.
