Globally, gold prices climbed to $3,417 per ounce, including a $20 premium, representing a $46 increase in a single day. Analysts attribute this consistent rise to growing concerns over global economic instability, leading investors to seek security in gold and other precious metals.

Silver prices in the local market followed a similar trend, increasing by Rs35 per tola to reach Rs3,780.
