The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) conducted a large-scale operation on Tuesday, sealing 118 illegal commercial buildings and commercialisation fee defaulters across various LDA-controlled areas and housing schemes.
According to LDA officials, the Town Planning Wing sealed:

12 buildings in Gulberg

20 in Gulshan-e-Ravi, Samanabad, and Shadman

26 in Subzazar Housing Scheme and Wahdat Road

60 in Johar Town and Quaid-e-Azam Town

Illegal buildings set up on public utility sites in Pak Arab Society were also sealed. The affected properties include:

Various pharmacies, grocery stores, food outlets, workshops, and offices
The operation was led by Chief Town Planners Assad-uz-Zaman and Azhar Ali, under the supervision of LDA DG Tahir Farooq, with the police assisting in enforcement.
A spokesperson confirmed that multiple notices had been issued prior to the crackdown. The LDA emphasized that it will continue indiscriminate action against defaulters and violators to ensure compliance with commercialization laws.
