Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has confirmed that the provincial government will present a tax-free budget, with no new taxes planned for the upcoming financial year.
Speaking in Peshawar on Tuesday, Gandapur stated that the budget had been prepared after consultations with former Prime Minister and PTI founder Imran Khan. He stressed that the government aimed to provide relief to the public while maintaining fiscal discipline.
The chief minister also said that the province had not taken on any fresh loans. Instead, Rs150 billion has been earmarked for the repayment of existing debt, reflecting a focus on financial responsibility.

Outlining key development priorities, Gandapur noted that work had already begun on large-scale infrastructure projects. One of the main initiatives is the construction of the Dera Motorway, which is expected to improve connectivity in southern KP.
Officials suggest that the budget will place emphasis on ongoing projects, basic services, and economic stability, as the province seeks to balance development with financial sustainability.
