Prices of gold in Pakistan continued their upward trend on Thursday, driven by international market movement and currency shifts. The All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA) reported that 24-karat gold rose by Rs2,900 per tola, hitting Rs362,200.

Global gold prices reached $3,395 per ounce, up by $29, prompting local rates to adjust. Exchange rate volatility between the rupee and dollar also played a role in the increase.

Ten grams of 24K gold are now priced at Rs310,528, while the 22K variant stands at Rs284,661 — marking gains of Rs2,487 and Rs2,280 respectively.

Silver prices followed a similar pattern. The rate for 24K silver per tola increased by Rs49 to Rs4,059. Ten grams of silver also saw a rise of Rs42, now priced at Rs3,479. International silver reached $38.26 per ounce.
