Gold prices in Pakistan saw a significant drop on Thursday, with the rate of 24-karat gold falling by Rs6,700 per tola. According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association, gold was sold at Rs335,200 per tola, compared to Rs341,900 on the previous day.
The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also declined by Rs5,745, bringing it down to Rs287,379. Meanwhile, 10 grams of 22-karat gold were priced at Rs263,440, after a reduction of Rs5,266.
Silver rates followed a similar trend, with the price per tola dropping by Rs105 to Rs3,377. The price for 10 grams of silver decreased by Rs90 to Rs2,985.

The downturn in domestic rates mirrors a decline in the global market. International gold prices dropped by $67, settling at $3,168 per ounce. Silver also fell by $1.05 to $31.95 per ounce.
Earlier this week, gold rates in Pakistan fluctuated notably. On May 13, prices rose by Rs3,700 per tola to reach Rs344,200. However, by May 14, they fell sharply by Rs10,400 per tola, settling at Rs340,500.
