Daraz Pakistan, the country’s leading e-commerce platform, has pledged PKR 27.5 million (USD 100,000) in support of flood relief efforts being coordinated by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA). This contribution is a small step towards easing the hardship faced by communities devastated by the recent floods, reflecting Daraz’s belief in coming together during times of crisis.

The donation will go towards providing food and health essentials to more than 3,000 families in Punjab who have been directly impacted. Relief packages include nutritious food, hygiene items, and basic medical supplies to help families meet their most urgent needs. To ensure these supplies reach affected communities quickly and fairly, Daraz is utilising the reach of its logistics network, Daraz Express (DEX), to deliver directly to relief camps in coordination with NDMA. By relying on existing infrastructure and partnerships, the company aims to make a meaningful contribution to the relief work already being carried out by authorities.

Ehsan Saya, Managing Director, Daraz Pakistan, shared: “The floods have brought immense suffering to many families across the country. At Daraz, we feel it is our duty to stand alongside those affected and to extend whatever support we can. These efforts were made possible through the generous collaboration of our long-term local and multinational brand partners, whose solidarity reflects the strength of the ecosystem built around Daraz in Pakistan. This contribution is a collective endeavor, made real by the kindness of our partners and the tireless work of those on the ground. We are grateful for the opportunity to help and remain committed to supporting recovery in every way we can.”

The Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, lauded the initiative, saying: “We greatly appreciate Daraz Pakistan’s efforts to step forward in support of flood-affected families. When private sector organisations align their resources with national priorities, it amplifies the government’s ability to respond effectively. Daraz’s contribution reflects how Pakistan’s technology and business ecosystem can play a vital role in not only driving economic growth but also in helping our people during times of adversity.”

The Chairman of NDMA also expressed appreciation for the contribution, stating: “We welcome Daraz’s support during this critical time. Partnerships with responsible businesses allow us to expand our reach and bring essential relief more swiftly to those who need it most. The coordinated efforts between NDMA and Daraz Pakistan are an encouraging example of how public and private sectors can work hand in hand to serve affected communities.”

Over the years, Daraz has mobilised its platform to respond to national emergencies, not as an obligation but as an expression of solidarity with the people it serves. This initiative is another step in that journey, carried out with humility and in recognition of the resilience of Pakistan’s communities. Daraz Pakistan will remain in close collaboration with NDMA and humanitarian partners to ensure that its support continues to reach families who need it most.
