The government has expanded its Pakistan Accelerated Vehicle Electrification scheme, enabling citizens to purchase electric scooters on interest-free instalments.
Under the initiative, consumers can access popular Yadea scooter models, including M3H, T5L, and VELAX, with a government subsidy of Rs50,000 applied per unit.
Buyers will benefit from a flexible payment plan of 24 monthly instalments spread over two years, offered at zero percent mark-up to ease affordability concerns.
Each scooter comes with a warranty covering four years or fifty thousand kilometres, providing long-term peace of mind and promoting reliability in green transport.
The PAVE programme aims to promote clean energy mobility, encourage local industry growth, and reduce environmental pollution, particularly across urban areas.
Citizens interested in the scheme can register online by submitting their CNIC and personal details at the official government portal pave.gov.pk/register.

Officials expressed confidence the scheme will accelerate adoption of electric scooters nationwide, helping Pakistan transition towards a cleaner environment.
Meanwhile, Punjab has approved the installation of electric vehicle charging stations in commercial areas, removing earlier hurdles that slowed infrastructure development.
In a regulatory shift, the Local Government Department has abolished the requirement for District Design Committee approval to establish petrol pumps or charging stations.
Businesses can now set up facilities in designated commercial zones without additional clearance, streamlining procedures for expanding both conventional fuel and electric charging.
Officials said the reform supports the broader electric vehicle policy of Pakistan, aimed at encouraging clean transport options and making EV charging more accessible across Punjab.
