Senior PPP Leader Senator Taj Haider Passes Away in Karachi

Senator Taj Haider, a prominent leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), has passed away in Karachi after a brief illness, leaving the nation in mourning.

Senator Taj Haider, the Central Secretary General of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), passed away after a brief illness.

According to his family, he was under treatment at a local hospital. His funeral prayer was offered today after the Zohr prayer at Masjid-o-Imambargah Yashsaraf, Phase Four, Defence Society.

President Asif Ali Zardari expressed deep sorrow over his death, stating that the late Taj Haider was a vital asset to the PPP. With his passing, the party has lost a significant political leader.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also expressed his condolences on the demise of one of the founding members of PPP, Senator Taj Haider. He paid tribute to Haider’s services for democracy.

PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, in his statement, said that the decades-long political, social, and literary contributions of Senator Taj Haider will never be forgotten. He described Haider as a dignified symbol of culture, grace and a man of creative intellect. His struggle and sacrifices for democracy will serve as a guiding light for future generations.

Senator Sherry Rehman, a long-time associate of the late Taj Haider, expressed profound grief over his death. She said he was an asset to the party and rendered invaluable services for democracy, Pakistan, the rights of Sindh, and the welfare of the people.

Senator Irfan Siddiqui and Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori also paid tribute, stating that his political and public services will always be remembered.
