Imran Khan’s PTI has decided to challenge the rejection of most of its candidates’ nomination papers in election tribunals, including the former prime minister himself. The party’s central information secretary Raoof Hasan announced that they will first appeal to election tribunals and explore other options later.

This decision comes after the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) disqualified Imran Khan from office over his conviction, leading to the rejection of his nomination papers for two National Assembly seats in Mianwali. Despite the challenges, PTI remains determined to contest the elections and has collected the certified copies of rejection decisions from respective Returning Officers (ROs).
